Brown Contact Lenses- how to put them on
Putting on your fabulous new brown contact lenses is really easy. The first couple of times you may feel a little awkward but you will soon improve. Over time you will develop your own individual way of doing it. A couple of simple steps is all it takes.
1. Wash your hands with soap and dry thoroughly first, this is important, your eyes are sensitive and anything on your hands may irritate them.
2. Remove the colored contact lenses from their case carefully, you don’t want to drop one.
3. Colored contact lenses are delicate, handle them with care. Check each lens first to make sure it is not inside out. There are a couple of ways to check if your contacts are inside out. The first method is simply to look at it from the side, does it look U shaped? Or does it flare outwards at the edges, You colored contact lens should be U shaped if not the its inside out. Another method is to squeeze the sides together, if they meet then the lens is good to go, but if the sides do not touch completely then it is inside out. Don’t worry, you will pick this up very quickly over time.
4. Place the lens on the tip of your index finger, with your free hand gnetly use your thumb and index finger to hold the eye open.
5. If you are putting on contacts for the first time you may blink a few times and it may take a little time. Be patient and relax, once you have done it you will see how easy it really is. Try to keep the eye wide open and while looking in a mirror gently place the colored contact on your eyeball.
6. Once you have successfully put on a contact lens blink a few times to make sure the fit is right. If it has been placed correctly you should not feel it at all. That’s all there is to it. Repeat the process for the other eye.
